This reminds me a bit of Douglas Adams’ use of the babel fish as an argument for the non-existence of God via intelligent design, since something so mind-bogglingly useful couldn’t have evolved purely by chance, thus proving God’s existence, which by definition causes God to cease to exist.
Only in this case, the bio-laser didn’t evolve by chance and WAS intelligently designed by human researchers. Which, by logical extension, means that humans don’t exist.
Hmm… I’ll have to work on this one.
