Ug, most depressing part of this story = “an island that he owns.” Maybe someday being a self obsessed lying fraud won’t make you super rich.
Don’t worry too much about the island and an imagined billionaire lifestyle. The article describes it as:
- a “rocky lump”.
- “uninhabited, 100 yard-by-50 yard”
- A “protected seabird colony”.
- “excruciatingly cold, with not a single flat spot to lay a sleeping bag”
He paid approx USD 46000 for it.
It made me feel better!
“Tosh! I say.” Evan, the more emphatic ‘bosh’ would have been truly appropriate there.
Tosh and Piffle
If he’s ‘pinpointed’ the spot why hasn’t he dug it up. Oh hang on – his spade will bend.
This is an obvious attempt to increase his property value. I would predict the Island will
soon be put up for sale.
