Also, enjoy the Grand Canyon. We went to the further away and not as visited North Rim years ago. We stayed in one of the cabins nestled in the woods. Since I had made dinner reservations our family of five was seated by the corner window right on the edge of the cliff both evenings. It was spectacular!
Even the drive there was awesome. We started off in Flagstaff, drove through desert, over a river and then encountered the Vermillion Cliffs. After driving up those we encountered a green forested plateau. It was like entering a different world. And then we got to the parking lot, walked out of the car and there was the canyon spread out in front of us, with the river a long long way below.
