There has just been an article on Parkinson’s disease attributing it to reduced mitochondria. I think this is exactly correct and the recuction is due to low NO.

Some states do have laws creating civil liability for those who falsely disparage perishable agricultural products. These were used in the lawsuit about the drop in beef prices due to the comments of Oprah Winfrey equating the risk of US beef from mad cow to HIV.

Since flu vaccines are made from agricultural products (eggs), and are perishable (they are only good for 1 year), people who falsely disparage them might be liable for losses of those who make them if they go unsold.

I think the greatest part of this post is pointing out that Mercola is perfectly willing to site any scrap of data that helps his case but will not lend the same credibility to what the science is saying.

Well said. It’s just more of the same from anti-scientific thinkers who spend their time collecting junk for their Gish Gallop. It is so obvious that they are simply cherry picking from studies and reading no further than the abstract of articles.

This is why the first thing I ask when I am arguing with someone that has a perspective like this is “have you even read a single paper on the issue?”

Last year and last month. Here he is implying, by linking to The Daily Mail, that the increased monitoring is evidence for an increase in GBS.

My mother has been in long term care nursing facilities for the past five years. She has received the flu shots with scheduled regularly. In fact, staff were happy to report at her care plan meeting that she got her most recent one the other week. Nursing staff do care about maintaining patient health. In fact, the shots have been effective; hospitalizations have never been as a result of influenza.
