well to be honest I dont know how you can say you are a scientist as i believe as being one you have to be open to new things and new idea as you may as well know things in this world that is classed as science have no actual fact behind them or very little behind them. It looks like they way you think is it has to be what you think otherwise it is wrong. Also a lot of science comes for things were people believe and know what they believe in is correct and they make there life making that point and find the facts about that.

Yes i believe some people who class them selfs as ghost hunters or demon hunters what ever name they use to label them selfs are fake. But then you get the people who do the investigations correctly and do everything to there knowledge to disproof a hunting.

I do believe there is not enough scientific 'proof' for there not to be sceptics in this world yes i am not one off them and i do believe in it but i understand both sides off the 'story'.

It is just like me telling you i do not believe in some scientific facts as there is not enough fact behind them to proof them but yet people believe it because thats what they believe in.

I dont believe people should be labelled for the mistakes that another person has created. We should all be treated as separate people and not as one person. If we all felt like this then i would say that all scientist 'the ones who work in the labs with there big white coats on' are fakes. But like i have said that is my opinion and i dont expect may people to think that same as me. it just really does my head in when people think it has to be there way or the high way like you do (i dont know if thats the message your putting across and you know you are or weather you dont think you are)

correct me if you feel the need to but like i have said it is all my opinion and i know not everyone is going to agree with me but unlike the person who wrote this fictional story who labels people before he/she has even heard there side

Let's start at the top here. When you say ghost hunters who exactly are you referring to? There are all sorts of people out there claiming to be ghost hunters and paranormal researchers and they have varying degrees of professionalism. The number one rule for any truly professional paranormal researcher is to find a non-paranormal reason for what they are observing. The first thing they check for when they find a cold spot (and I have never ever heard them referred to as anything other than a cold spot) is a draft. When using an EMF meter the first thing you look for is an energy source like a power box or electrical lines running through the wall or under the floor. Once you rule those out you move on to other possibilities.
The link you posted above is a YouTube video created by professional attention hounds. They are quite open about their purpose, they want viral videos. As for their ghost box I don't know of any professional paranormal investigators who use them. Just because you can find a few idiots doing something doesn't mean you can debunk everyone in the field.

SARA-That's why building maintenance crews install 'ghost thermostats' that are not connected to the system,so that employees can 'adjust' it to their comfort.

Then there's the Led Zeppelin song "Stairway to Heaven" played backwards.
Listen to it first without looking at the supposed lyrics - sounds like garbage.
Then listen to it again while reading the supposed lyrics...

Every office building I ever worked in was apparently haunted. You could walk across the floor and into a space that was 5 degrees colder in the same open area. Like walking into another climate zone.

Of course all this time, I have been blaming it on HVAC systems being inadequate to manage large spaces, but clearly I didn't consider the best explanation. Ghost Cold Spot.

I'm surprised more companies don't hire exorcists.

The Ghostbox (aka Franks box) is by no means a new gadget within the ghost hunting community but it's use is certainly widespread.

It does seem as though it has become more popular in recent months for people to explore new gadgets to communicate with ghosts through. For example, there is the ghost laser grid pen that is used quite often, and people have really started to use EMF pumps to energise ghosts to be active.

It's all self serving nonsense.

Back in my audio electronics phase, it was all the rage to have a box of blinking lights controlled by assorted electronic filters wired to your stereo outputs, so that the lights would blink "in time" with the music. (yes, it was in the '60s).
They were very expensive, but I found an article in Popular Electronics on how to build the circuitry. I still remember the final paragraph of the article, that suggested that while this was all fun, there was another (cheap) option.
If you just bought a string of multi-colored Christmas-tree lights and tacked them to the back of a large box, with the front being made from a diffuser (usually found in ceiling fluorescent light fixtures) you could create a blinking light box. Then you could turn on your stereo, put on your favorite Iron Butterfly record, and your brain would make it appear as if the lights were blinking in time to the music.
Worked like a charm!!
Who knew it was just the ghosts in the box...
